We survived!

Today was "test day" for us! My maternity leave is winding down and so we did a practice run of both Dylan and Cambree going to daycare!! Thank goodness for kleenex today!! It's been a big week for us...
Let me start with my sweet girl...I can't even believe how much she has grown in the past year! She has developed her own personality and you just never know what she is going to say! I am so proud of her and what she learns everyday! This week she has moved to the "green room" at the Learning Garden which is the 4 year old preschool room! Thankfully she will spend 2 years there, but it's the last room they have to offer before kindergarten!!! My baby girl is not so baby anymore!! We love her so so much and she brings so much joy and happiness everyday to our house!!

Now for my Dylan, it is so hard to believe he is already 2 months old!! I was thinking back to a year ago, I was starting to wonder of 2 children were in the cards for us! We were so excited to find out I was pregnant in October and couldn't wait to give Cambree a sibling!! We are so thankful for his health as we had quite the scare half way through the pregnancy!! I was so worried it would be such a hard adjustment for the big sis this summer , it melts my heart the way Cambree already looks after her brother and protects him!! I feel so blessed with both of my beautiful children and my amazing husband!

As much as it broke my heart today leaving them it is the best thing for us as a family! It gives my kids a great opportunity to meet new friends and develop character as well as for myself cause lord knows if I stayed home I would turn into a hermit in my own little shell! So here are pictures as I dropped them off today!

P.S. thanks to the amazing care that they are in at school they both had awesome days and had smiles on their faces when I walked in to pick them up!

Create!

So for a few years I have had a fun space upstairs for my crafts, but with the new little man I could never make it up there... So the other night I was cleaning and re organizing the pantry when I had a light bulb turn on! I could use part of the pantry for an office/ craft room! I'm so excited with the space and getting it all decorated! Then when I'm working in their I'm close to my family and don't feel like I'm miles away! Stay tuned to see what happens to the upstairs now :)

I Heart Nap Time!

Yummy peanut butter bars!

It's hard to believe I have not gone grocery shopping all week! I have been trying to empty out the fridge and use up some things in the pantry! Sunday Cambree and I typically make a fun treat to start our week out! I had to get creative, but I had all the supplies for peanut butter bars! My mom made these all the time growing up so it puts a smile on my face sharing this time with Cambree!

Peanut Butter Bars
8 cups corn flakes
1 cup sugar
1 cup light Corn syrup
1 cup creamy peanut butter

In a small sauce pan bring sugar and syrup to a boil for 1 minute, remove from heat and stir in peanut butter once stirred in add to cereal! Place in a greased 8 by 10 pan! Let cool and enjoy!! You can also drizzle chocolate over them or you can use frosted flakes or Cheerios for your cereal!!

Barefoot Photography

It's funny because a lot of the times I find myself thinking my husband has far to many hobbies and then I look around at my projects and things I'm working on and I'm just as guilty! I have loved photography I think from the time I was about 10!! In high school I was lucky enough to do a school to work at a local photography business and it has carried with me through all the years!! With Cambree I think I did.a photo shoot every other day with her, and sadly I was looking through pics on my computer and decided I needed to catch up with my sweet Dylan! I'm not a pro but it's something I love and continue to enjoy!! Enjoy a few teasers! Once I do a little editing I will post more!

And if I ever do become pro...Barefoot Photography will be the name :)

Monday Fun Day!!

So Mondays can be a drag for sure, but this past summer I have been attempting to do something fun and exciting to get the week off to a positive start! Why not get off on the right foot!! We started our day with swim lessons which Cambree just loves and I am quite impressed what a little mermaid she is! She can swim about 5 feet on her own! For 3 years old I'm impressed!
Our day continued with meeting friends at pizza hut for lunch and then we headed to the new play place in Powell!! Let's just say Cambree, Dylan and mommy all had so much fun! We met friends there and quickly burnt up over 3 hours of our day!

Needless to say Cambree fell asleep on the way home and I can tell will be heading to bed early tonight! ;)

I'm back!

Not only now are we Damian, Heidi, and Cambree we have now added Dylan!! That's right, we were so blessed with a healthy and sweet baby boy June 28th! I feel like the luckiest mama on earth to be blessed with such an amazing husband and 2 great kids!!
I can't believe how fast the past 7 weeks hAve gone and so I'm hoping with keeping up with the blog will slow me down to keep track of our exciting milestones and zoom in on our everyday life so we can look back on our fun Adventures ( and let's face it keep the scrapbook accurate)

So stay tuned for our life as it goes by full of family, some DIY, recipes and eating healthy, crafting, fitness... Just a little bit of everything!!
